The Day I First Saw Her

Five minutes before 1pm, me and my buddy were already making our way to our programming class. It was assigned to a small room in the oldest building of our campus. It’s got a little more than a dozen rickety wooden chairs, with some of them missing arm rests. It has no windows to let air in, save for a door that’s barely wide enough to let one pass through. There’s no air-conditioning unit to speak of. Instead, a lone wall fan that couldn’t even sweep air around the room and has to be pointed at one direction is all the room’s got to cool its occupants down. Yes, the room was more like an oven, and the students were the cookies in the making.

I knew most of the people in our class, at least by their faces. The girls in the room outnumbered us about 2 to 1, which wasn’t really cool, especially since none of them caught my attention. Just after I thought that though, a girl walks in and arrested my eyes. She definitely wasn’t  a new student since many of my classmates greeted her. She had a fair complexion, not too light and not too dark either. Her hair was long enough to be a little lower than her shoulder. It had some streaks of gold or some other light yellowish color of some sort. She had big brown eyes below her not thick eyebrows. Her nose complemented her face and was just right. From the way her lips looked I thought it’d be a blast to experience kissing her. I saw her smile and I realized she was my type. I told myself that maybe this 1pm class wouldn’t be such a torture after all. « Read the rest of this entry »
